DH pilsner. Dry hopping enhances hop flavors & aromas. Extended lagering makes this crisp & bright
2 hops (Hallertau Blans & Czech saaz) added post fermentation.
3 sip rule.
Lightly bitter to start. Malts are present immediately but are not overbearing. Holding the sip floral notes come forward. Mid sip you connect with the Saaz hop. Bittering remains a constant in the weave & all aspects blend into a white wine Blanc finish.
Crisp & clean throughout & at 4.8% this is a more than one session beer.
A well done offering
Utilizes Noble hops & Barley malts for floral flavor & toasty crisp aroma & body
2 hops ( Saaz & Kazbek)
Malted toasty aroma. Bright & tart with subtle lemon aspect. Higher carbonation & bittering blends into the malt body & a crisp backbone which remains the dominant feature start to finish. Flavors come out for an end of sip appearance.
Unfamiliarity with Kazbek may be the influence in a higher IBU.
One of the more potent hop influenced offerings in this style
European in style with malty sweet aromas. Higher carbonation gives way to the floral aspects of the saaz hop in a full crisp & clean body. Bittering is left to the end of each sip & mixes into the above.
All aspects draw on the true pilsner style & make for a quality offering. An opportunity to try a new to our shop offering not to be passed on
Belgian ales utilize top-fermenting yeast strains, which produce a range of flavor compounds during fermentation. While hop bitterness is present, it's generally lower than in some other ale styles, allowing the malt and yeast characters to shine.
A strong golden ale. The aroma of oranges jumps out & invites you into the offering. The dominance continues start to finish in every sip with a light hopped spiced ending reminding you of its Belgium roots. Light crisp & carbonated keeps this a refreshing summer change with an ABV kick. Colder was preferred.
Aroma is the contribution of both hops & malts. Crisp, toasty & lightly sweet. Lightly dry to start but fades or blends into the body. Each sip brings out more flavor notes & by sip 3 you're enjoying all aspects of a German lager brewed true to standards dating back centuries. 50 degrees was preferred as is customary
SO MANY BEERS SO LITTLE TIME
Aroma is not indicative of what's next. Cacao creates a sweet backbone & coffee bittering is somewhat present. Towards warmer differentiates all aspects that from there blend with no dominance. Malts being the main actor create the offering.
Easy to enjoy at any temp.
1 hop (chinook)
Malty & pure stout aromas. A soft creamy backbone with ultra light carbonation. Malt flavors blend into a nuanced oat platform that created a subtle sweetness to end each sip. Stout bittering is consistent. Keeping this honest is just that. Using 1 hop showcases the malts over anything else giving you a steady rich offering start to finish. This should be considered by all stout fans.
Crisp, clean with hop sweetness & malty aroma. Lower ABV
1 hop (Spalt)
Aroma is nuanced toward floral & malts. Begins lightly tart with aspects of malt, floral & light bittering in medium carbonation & a clear crisp body. The above weaves back & forth creating a tapestry.
Golden ales are also referred to as Blonde Ales being similar in style IE: low ABV & IBU & easily crushable which is the case here. This offering also lends itself more to the aroma & flavor of a Kolsch being a bit more aggressive to that end but not enough to look elsewhere
Most likely German hops or the American equivalent. Malts are smoked over a fire with Beechwood the most popular choice.
Smoky bacon aroma. Crisp & clean as expected. Fruit & bacon notes more pronounced when the sip is held & blending takes place. Both aroma & flavor are constantly present. All aspects are light & orderly & create a pairing that is pleasant & tasty. Well worth a try.
If they made an egg Kolsch you'd have the perfect breakfast duo. It's a comfort thing
