German pilsners are brewed with Mittelfruh, Hallertau, Tettnanger, Hersbrucker & Spalt hops.
Toasty malt aroma. Toasty biscuit flavor in a crisp, light body. Floral notes chime in towards each sip end blending into a balance. Holding the sip enhances this aspect. Bittering is an important factor in this style & the offering doesn't disappoint.
A European style worth a try
3 hops ( Amarillo, Simcoe & Galaxy)
3 sip rule ...
Neutral aroma & a bit higher in carbonation. Soft body. Bittering initiates the offering & remains noticeable throughout but leaves the door open for flavor. Simcoe provides bittering as well as flavor as does Galaxy aspects of which are soft & blend into a citrus weave.
Balance is achieved by sip 3 & remains.
A nice example of an IPA that other camps would enjoy as well.
Sweet wheat & yeast aroma. Medium carbonation & a crisp body. Flavors range from floral & herbal. This is a combination of yeast esters (fruit flavors) & hop bittering that help neutralize them from becoming completely dominant. Holding the sip enhances this profile. Bittering is minimal. A light spiced ending closes the sip.
Wheat beers are usually fuller but this offering is a mild, delicate craft easily enjoyed. More so at 45 degrees which seems the perfect temp.
